Ensuring the accuracy of your pregnancy is crucial, and an ultrasound is a vital tool for this verification process. During the ultrasound, three critical aspects of the pregnancy are evaluated:
- Location: It determines whether the pregnancy is inside the uterus. A pregnancy outside the uterus is a serious, life-threatening situation requiring immediate medical attention.
- Gestational Age: The ultrasound helps determine how far along the pregnancy is and assesses the gestational age of the fetus.
- Viability: The ultrasound looks for signs of viability, including the baby’s heartbeat.
Ultrasound is considered safe, with no known harmful effects associated with its medical use. The FDA attests to its excellent safety record, as it utilizes non-ionizing radiation, avoiding the risks associated with X-rays or other ionizing radiation imaging systems.
What is obstetrical ultrasound?
An ultrasound, or sonogram, is a routine part of prenatal care in which the sonographer is able to see inside the body. A hand-held transducer is pressed against the skin and sends high-pitch sound waves that humans are unable to hear. The sound waves bounce off internal organs and structures and are received by the transducer. The machine constantly translates the sound waves into images on the monitor. This allows real-time viewing of what is happening inside the body, including viewing fetal heartbeat and movements.

You will be screened privately ensuring confidentiality and encouraging support and compassion. At some point during the ultrasound you will have the opportunity to invite your significant other, friend, and/or parent back with you.

Walk-ins are welcome; however, it is best to make an appointment to minimize your office wait time, please call or Text at 513.244.5700, or schedule an appointment online.
Our professional medical-grade lab quality pregnancy test can determine pregnancy the first day after your first missed period. We recommend you make an appointment if you have missed a period, have any pregnancy related questions, or think you might be pregnant.
After completing paperwork, you will meet with our medical professionals to go over your information and a pregnancy test will be administered. With a positive pregnancy test result, we will then confirm a living, intrauterine pregnancy via an ultrasound.
All our services are provided free of charge.
All you need is photo ID. If receiving a pregnancy test or limited ultrasound you will need to drink plenty of water to ensure you have a full bladder.
Absolutely, you can bring your boyfriend, family member or friend. We will talk with you privately first. Then provided you have given us consent to have them in the room, your guest will be able to join you.
We adhere to a strict privacy and confidentiality policy. Clients will be protected from disclosure of information that violates their right to privacy except where required by law, required for public health reasons, required to avert a threat of harm to the client or a third person, or when other circumstances may reasonably warrant such use or disclosure without prior authorization (e.g., abuse reporting, suicide/homicide prevention, etc.)
